酉(とり)の市は、毎年11月の「酉の日」に開催されます。

On Japnese Calender, all dates are related to 12 kind of animals.
"Tori-no-ichi"(Market of Cock/Hen) is held at Cock's/Hen's day.

「酉の日」は年によって２回〜３回あり、それぞれ「一の酉」、「二の酉」、「三の酉」と
呼ばれています。

There are 2 or 3 Cock's/Hen's day in one month, and called "1(ichi)-no-tori",
"2(ni)-no-tori", and "3(san)-no-tori".

市では熊手が販売されます。「幸福を掻き集める」縁起物です。

Decorated rakes at a sale. Rakes mean good fortune "to rake up luck".

熊手を購入し、手拍子で景気をつけてもらいます。

When you purcase a rake, you will be blessed by handclapping.
